Join the Revolution

HOPE International The Poor Will Be Glad raises a key question for the American church: "How can Christians extend compassion and good intentions into action that makes a lasting difference?" The authors invite the church to join a movement that is revolutionizing the way Christians minister to the physical and spiritual needs of those living in poverty: microfinance and other employment-based solutions. Creative entrepreneurs around the world use microfinance to break themselves, their families, and their communities free of the cycle of poverty. You can join the revolution by partnering with HOPE International, a Christ-centered nonprofit that provides microfinance services, biblically-based training, and an intentional Christian witness to nearly 250,000 entrepreneurs in some of the hardest places across the globe.

The Never Ending Hope Challenge

Never Ending Hope

If you want a concrete and creative way to join the revolution against physical and spiritual poverty, then check out the Never Ending Hope challenge! Based on Jesus’ parable of the talents in Luke 19, in which a nobleman gives ten of his servants ten minas each and tells them to "Put this money to work" (Luke 19:13), the Never Ending Hope challenge is simply that: to put $10 to work by using your creativity to multiply it twofold, fivefold, tenfold—as many times as you can.

Entrepreneurs around the world use small loans or small savings amounts, combined with hard work and ingenuity, to expand their businesses and lift their families out of poverty. By participating in the Never Ending Hope challenge, you not only help these entrepreneurs, you participate in a similar process. Buy ingredients for a bake sale or gas to mow lawns, pool your $10 with that of your friends to increase your impact, or raise awareness by challenging your whole church to join you: The possibilities are endless! When you’re done, send the money you’ve multiplied along with your story to HOPE International, and see how your $10 can increase exponentially in the lives of the poor.
